Georgia Spa Launches Gives Back Program

Georgia Spa Company is excited to announce the launch of the Georgia Spa Gives Back program, a charitable giving initiative focused on giving back back to different organizations around the state of Georgia throughout the year. Each quarter, Georgia Spa will select a charity to sponsor and will donate a portion of our proceeds from a given month to that organization.

“We have been very blessed in our business, and the Gives Back program allows us to help others throughout the year,” said Mark Stevens, owner of Georgia Spa Company.

The initial recipient of the Georgia Spa Gives Back program will be the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation’s Summer Camp Oo-U-La. A portion of Georgia Spa’s proceeds in June 2018 will go to support this organization.

About the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation (GFBF):
The mission of the GFBF is to partner with the fire service and burn care community to provide fire safety and prevention education, support medical facilities and assist burn survivors in their recovery.

About Camp Oo-U-La:
Burns leave some scars you can see, and some you can’t. The trauma of a burn injury is life changing and touches the entire family even after the physical recovery ends. Camp Oo-U-La provides children impacted by burn injuries an enriching summer experience that helps them in their recovery. Campers bond with siblings and friends while gliding down the swirling waterslide, fishing or paddling in the lake, rock climbing, horseback riding and so much more!

Recovering from a burn injury is different for everyone. For some, the emotional healing can often be as difficult as the physical healing. That’s why the camp programming is designed as fun with a purpose. While having a great time, campers also learn ways to process thoughts, talk about feelings and techniques to cope with their challenges through their connections with peers, caring staff and dedicated volunteers.
