Position Location: This position works out of our Newnan location at 1068 Bullsboro Drive, Newnan, GA 30265

Position Overview: The Delivery Supervisor will manage an operations team that conducts all delivery operations and product transfers. The Delivery Supervisor is expected to assign tasks and supervise delivery crew members and coordinators. Supervise and implement delivery productivity, quality, service standards and achieve the appropriate level of daily volume. Ultimately, ensure that daily deliveries meet and exceed daily performance expectations and maintain company and safety standards.

Major Duties

  • Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills to coach and encourage employees to get the job done effectively everyday
  • Work /communicate with sales and service teams to deliver customer value and satisfaction

  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements and advises management on needed actions

  • Maintain professional appearance and customer interaction to high Georgia Spa Co standards

  • Ability to recognize issues or potential issues and put corrective action in place to eliminate the possibility of this issue occurring again

  • Achieve a high level of excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods

  • Ability to evaluate a situation and make a short term decision as well as work through details to create a plan for the long term solution

  • Measure and report the effectiveness of delivering activities and employee's performance

  • Ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate

  • Communicate job expectations clearly with employees

  • Maintain staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload

  • Maintain item records, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project delivery status

  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative work procedures and practices

  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments

  • Know and understand all aspects of delivery and be able to foresee challenges on future jobs to make sure tools are ready for the teams

Knowledge Required by the Position

  • Data collection and analysis to identify trends/issues

  • Skill in the operation of a computer and job-related software programs. (Excel, Word, RB POS, etc).

  • Skill in report preparation and records maintenance.

  • Skill in public and interpersonal relations.

  • Skill in oral and written communication.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer relationship management.

  • Ability to multitask and manager 20-30 active jobs at various stages of completion

Complexity & Scope of Work: The work consists of varied specialized duties. Strict and frequently changing laws and regulations contribute to the complexity of the work. The purpose of this position is to advise and manage a team of employees to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in delivery operations.

Contacts: Contacts are typically with co-workers, members of the general public, management, and all departments within Georgia Spa Company. Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, provide services, and resolve problems.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • The work is typically performed in an office while sitting at a desk and in the field while intermittently sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping.

  • The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects.

  • The work is typically performed 50% of the time in an office and 50 % of the time in the field.

Supervisory & Management Responsibility: Delivery Supervisor will be in charge of a group of delivery leaders, crew members, and delivery coordinators. This position will be responsible to schedule delivery with our customers and then make sure the delivery is carried out meeting all customer expectations as well as Georgia Spa Company expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with some college education.

  • Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for a minimum of two years.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, or equivalent proficiency
