Jodi Martin joined Georgia Spa Company in May 2021 as a Sales Professional at the Kennesaw Showroom. Jodi helps customers in Bringing Relaxation Home with hot tubs, swim spas and sauna. From day one, Jodi adapted very well to the Georgia Spa team and demonstrated excellent sales skills earning her 2021 New Sales Employee of the Year recognition.
What is your favorite memory
with Georgia Spa Company?
My first hot tub sale. It was my fourth day on the job, and it was an Azure Premier. I was so excited.
What was your first job?
Rax Roast Beef in Federal Way, Washington. I was in charge of prepping the cold food
buffet. Basically, I managed the salad bar.
What's your favorite hot tub?
The Hot Spring Pulse is my favorite hot tub. What I love about the Pulse is that it's a perfect size size with it has four dedicated corner seats so it's a great conversation spa. You have plenty
of room to chill with friends and family. Oh, and the HUGE foot island is
awesome!
Where do you like to vacation/travel.
Australia and New Zealand. My grandparents sailed around the world when
they retired and spent two years sailing up the coast of Australia because they
loved it so much. The stories they told of the people and culture is
fascinating, and I'd love to have the opportunity to experience it for myself.
If you had to eat one meal,
every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza! It's the world's most
perfect food!
How do you prefer to spend your
time off?
Mostly chilling with my friends. I love playing bar trivia and singing
karaoke.
What are three things you have
left on your bucket list?
Go skydiving, go spelunking and have a vacation home on the beach.
What is a TV show you like to
re-watch a lot?
Criminal Minds and Gilmore Girls.
What is your hidden talent?
I'm not sure. It's so well hidden that even I can't find it!
What is your favorite sport and
sports team?
Football for sure. I follow a
few teams, so I don't have just one favorite.
What is your favorite movie?
The Breakfast Club.
What is the best advice you've
ever gotten?
Be yourself and don't compare yourself to others, it only hurts you.
What is something you would tell
your 13 year old self?
Stop being so boy crazy and pay more attention in math class.
What is your favorite song
lyric?
"I'm much too young to feel this damn old," Garth Brooks.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Folding laundry. I'm one of those people that lives out of a laundry
basket.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Hire a chauffeur. I love going places, but I don't like being the
driver. I much prefer being a passenger.
I already have a great mentor, my colleague Mark Baker. He is always
giving me advice on how to be more successful in my job and helping me become a
better version of myself.
Any favorite line from a movie?
"I'm right on top of that
Rose!" from Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.
What is the one thing you cannot resist?
Stopping to smell the flowers.
