Georgia Spa Company was named the recipient of Hot Spring Spa’s Locksin Thompson Dealer of the Year Award for 2019. The highest honor by Hot Spring Spas, the award was presented to Georgia Spa at the Hot Spring Experience Dealer Kickoff held in Orlando, Florida, in January.
Named in memory of a greatly esteemed pioneer in the hot tub industry, the Locksin Thompson Dealer of the Year Award celebrates its namesake’s entrepreneurial spirit. It is the highest honor that can be bestowed on a Hot Spring retailer. Georgia Spa joins a very elite group of dealers to become multiple recipients of the award having also earned the recognition in 2016.
A dealer must consistently excel in eight core areas of retail to earn the Locksin Thompson Dealer of the Year Award: customer satisfaction, customer service, showroom design, sales training, lead follow-up, marketing and promotions, online presence and digital initiatives, and sales productivity. The winning dealer must also demonstrate a commitment to upholding the quality, excellence and professionalism that Locksin Thompson brought to the hot tub industry.
“If perfection is doing a lot of little things really well, then this dealer is close to perfection,” said Mike Dunn, Executive Vice President at Watkins Wellness, in presenting the award. “From the front end to back of the business, their entire team is committed to delivering exceptional consumer experiences.”
“What an unbelievable honor it is to receive the Locksin Thompson award and to have our company name mentioned alongside the best in the industry,” said Mark Stevens, owner of Georgia Spa Company. “Our accomplishments would not be possible without the unrivalled support we receive from Watkins Wellness, the quality of products they product and the attention to detail and customer service they provide. This honor is also a tribute to the other dealers who collaborate with us to help deliver better hot tub experiences to our customers. Last, but certainly not least, thank you to our incredible team. From sales to operations, we have a great group of people working at Georgia Spa Company dedicated to helping our customers Bring Relaxation Home.”
Georgia Spa Company opened its first store in Buford in 2004. It now operates six locations in the Atlanta and Augusta markets. Watkins Wellness, the parent company of Hot Spring Spas, reached a major milestone in 2019 in manufacturing its worldwide leading 1.5 millionth spa.
