The Georgia Spa Gives Back Program held a toy drive across all showrooms in November of 2023 benefiting the Winder Fire Department's Empty Stocking Toy Drive. Additionally, a portion of purchases made at Georgia Spa Company in the month of November went go to supporting the Winder Fire Department's Empty Stocking Toy Drive and to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office's Shop with a Hero program.
Over two hot tubs full of toys and a $2,000 check were donated to the Winder Fire Department's Empty Stocking Toy Drive!
The Empty Stocking Toy Drive was founded by retired Chief Ray Mattison over 30 years ago, and the program has been continued by Chief Matt Whiting since becoming Chief in 2011. Georgia Spa's donation included more than 600 toys collected throughout the month of November from customers and employees. Collection for the Empty Stocking Toy Drive continues 365 days a year. $2,000 check was also presented to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office in support of their Shop with
a Hero program. Founded by Barrow County Sheriff Jud
Smith, Shop with a Hero pairs children to shop with a first responder including
representatives from multiple branches of law enforcement.
These donations were made possible from a portion of November's proceeds and toy drive contributions. Thank you to everyone who helped make these donations possible.
Launched in June 2018, the Georgia Spa Gives Back program allows Georgia Spa to help others in our
community. Each quarter, the Gives Back program selects a charity or cause to
support with a portion of proceeds from that quarter's sales.
