Gives Back: Local Food Banks

Georgia Spa Company’s Gives Back Program selected three local Food Banks to be its recipients for the fourth quarter of 2018. A portion of Georgia Spa’s proceeds from the month of November will go to Golden Harvest Food Bank, Must Ministries and the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.

Golden Harvest Food Bank provides quality food and other grocery products to those in need. Golden Harvest does this with local community support through direct service programs, food pantries and community education about hunger. Golden Harvest’s Master Table soup kitchen serves a hot lunch to more than 325 hungry people every day, 365 day per year in downtown Augusta.

About Must Ministries
A powerful, volunteer-driven organization, MUST addresses the basic needs of individuals, families and children with facilities in the Cobb and Cherokee counties and programs in numerous other counties. MUST brings people of many faiths together to respond to God’s challenge to minister to others with compassion and love, without judgment of the beliefs, background or circumstances of those who serve or are being served.

Food Bank of NE GA

About Food Bank of Northeast Georgia
The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia is a network of friends working to feed the ill, needy, seniors and children of Northeast Georgia. Their mission is to work toward ending hunger as part of an overall community effort to alleviate poverty. The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia recovers donated and salvaged surplus food and distributes it to human-service agencies that then distribute the food to residents in need. The Food Bank works with local, regional, state and national product partners to bring food into the community.
