In March of 2021, Georgia Spa Company held its annual company-wide meeting and awards presentations, and during the gathering all employees participated in contributing to the Georgia Spa Gives Back program by constructing blankets to donate to Peace Place, Inc.
In addition to the newly crafted blankets, the donation also included puzzles, which were used as a team-building activity during the meeting, and a monetary donation from a portion of Georgia Spa’s proceeds during the first quarter of 2021.
About Peace Place, Inc.
Peace Place’s mission is to empower victims, survivors and help stop domestic violence in our communities. They do this by raising awareness, providing shelters and supportive services for victims of domestic violence.
Peace Place, Inc. started by opening a safe shelter for women and their children in 2000 to help rebuild their lives safe from abuse. The organization has since expanded in 2007 and has provided a safe haven for over 2,200 women, men, and children. The program hopes to continue to provide assistance to everyone in need of a safe place, especially as Covid-19 has impacted the domestic abuse community.
