Employee Spotlight: Trace McDaniel

Trace McDaniel is a Senior Technician in the service department at Georgia Spa Company. A baseball player who took the field for Chattahoochee Valley Community College and the University of North Georgia, Trace graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He joined the Georgia Spa team five years ago as a Valet Technician, and during his tenure, Trace has also held additional positions in operations including Service Coordinator. A multiple-time recipient of Georgia Spa’s Employee of the Month award, Trace was named the 2019 Employee of the Year.

What is your favorite Hot Tub?
The Jetsetter because it is both comfortable and economical.

What was your first job?
Valet Technician at Georgia Spa Company.

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever visited?
Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Describe your dream vacation.
Duck hunting trip to Arkansas or Louisiana in flooded timber.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
Hunting or fishing.

Are you a dog person or a cat person (or neither)?
I’m a dog person. I have two labs.

Braves baseball.

Who had the most influence on you growing up?
My Mom. She has always been supportive and kept me on track to achieve my goals.

Drinks and Mexican food with mu wife, Blair.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Professional baseball player.
